NEOTEC Hosts International Trade Seminar on Compliance, Documentation and Transportation

NEOTEC is hosting an international trade seminar on Compliance, Documentation and Transportation that will present the do’s and don’ts of proper compliance, classification, documents and incoterms for exporting companies. The full-day seminar, scheduled for December 3, 2013, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Independence, will feature representatives from global logistics companies, the Port of Cleveland, and the regional representative of the U.S. Export Assistance Center.

Topics on the agenda include: classification of products; case studies illustrating the use of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), ECCN numbers and Schedule B; Free Trade Agreements and proper documentation for shipping; transportation logistics; how to complete documentation and AES filings needed for export shipments; understanding incoterms, and Port of Cleveland-Europe Express Liner Service. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

“This seminar will be led by highly experienced logistics and export professionals who will help companies understand the documentation and procedures necessary to be compliant when exporting their products,” said NEOTEC president and CEO Ron DeBarr.

Presenting at the seminar are Kenton Grimes of Mohawk Global Logistics, Todd Hiser of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Export Assistance Center, Jim Haynes of Weiss-R?hlig Logistics, and Dave Gutheil of the Port of Cleveland. The seminar is sponsored by CUSTOMS Info and supported by the Northeast Ohio chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade.
